I had a friend that made a habit of putting sticky notes in opportune places in order to give herself reminders of positive sayings and such. I had a chuckle when I saw one on the corner of a mirror which said “U are a Munny Magnet” (spelled just as quoted). Being a very literal person I was not sure how continuing to read a sticky note could help with this in the first case, but after I thought about it, I saw the relation she was trying to make to positive thinking.
The only part that seemed a bit odd to me was the fact that money was the focus of success. I think that the positive note aspect is a great way to continuously remind yourself of something, but it confused me a bit as to how someone could attract money as their primary objective. Instead of focusing on the end result we should remind ourselves how to enjoy the processes each day that leads us towards making money.
So many people make the mistake of focusing on the end result. Like the Underpants Gnomes on the Comedy Central cartoon Southpark, we so often have a continuous effort and a defined end result. The Southpark Gnomes had stage one, “collect underpants” stage three, “profit”, but no stage two. With the objective to attract money, and the practice to address within each day what comes at us that day. We are like the Underpants Gnomes; continuously collecting and struggling to create unguided piles of effort with no direction or connection to the future.
Find a never ending path which leads in a successful direction in your life. If you need help with this reach out to us; that is what we do. Then take the notes off your mirror to make money and put up notes to remind yourself how to enjoy the processes which lead along a successful path. Optimize yourself to enjoy what you do without stress, because the end result did not come with the mirror note.
What are your thoughts, how can others give themselves reminders on how to enjoy the processes which lead to success?
