| On today’s show, host Dr. Wanda Cousar speaks with Amber Williamson, a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer, SME, and IT Advocate Blogger. Originally starting in the science industry, Amber says her first dream was to be in the medical field. When that did not line up according to plan, she was guided into the cyber, technology, and computer universe. She goes on to say how grateful she was for the switch, as it opened up so many other doors as the industry only continues to grow. She gives some tips and pointers to others may be looking at getting into the industry and stresses that an applicant should have a true passion for technology and willingness to learn before deciding to get into this field as she says it is easy to fall behind in cyber if you are not constantly keeping up with the trends and newest advancements. |
