Joel gives us some history into how his passion for security and blockchain first started. He also gets into his background with IOT Standards and NIST, the well known Cyber security framework. His background, more specifically, deals with Empty Connect which Neidig offers listeners more of a breakdown into this and these standards. Neidig speaks on his definition of Blockchain and its importance in keeping personal information in a decentralized/distributed location that can not be shared with the outside world as he takes us back to when the term first got its start, being recognized as Cryptocurrency.
